I really think the logistics here snuck up on me. I have a bad habit of having characters kind of imply a long time has passed when really it probably hasn't. I don't know how long Kaen was missing but Gustav didn't seem especially relieved. Maybe they were gnawing flower roots and there was somehow enough air, I dunno. Maybe just magic.
But speaking of absences and reactions thereto, apparently Hel is now a lot more concerned than she was when she was first "abandoned". I guess that's how it goes sometimes. Haa more continuity. Aaand that is probably the worst tagline of any page.
