Another of those too-little-too-late videogame gags, but at least I had the excuse here of not knowing about this kind of glitch. It's fascinating and a lot of fun to try to make sense of it in-universe (I always thought Missingno just had some kind of world-glitching powers, which isn't that odd since there's already a digital pokémon).
I think the rag-in-a-bottle joke was just something I thought up... I dunno, it's kind of esoteric, but you might try using a rag as a makeshift cork, right? Then it looks like you have a molotov cocktail and people would... maybe get scared.
