There's something really neat about oldtimey fortified city walls and all the garbage outside of them. Fantasy genre doesn't remotely utilize those the way they should. Imagine one so massive it constitutes its own labyrinth.
Tried using a sand-speckle Photoshop effect here, doesn't look good at all. No perspective, for one thing. Sometimes things have to be done by hand, like those needles! Took a while though.
