Sure, this place could have been within the Land of Crossbreeds, but it makes plenty of sense for it to just be here. Plus these aren't terribly unusual monsters, they're established ones. Yes, even that fish-fin thingy.
See I used to draw sphinges and nagas with this really similar face, and at least once I drew them together with a similar human and fancied they were all half-sisters. I thought I'd do something similar here, while I was going through old drawings. This isn't that particular sameface though, that was too generic to reproduce in this style.
