There's a name for this kind of survival strategy, I forget. Lots of babies, assuming most will die. Check out that continuity though! Remember? To pay for Gustav's cruise ship trip. But seriously it annoys me that they apparently boil silkworms to get the silk. Just fuckin' keep them alive and harvest the silk. How hard is that? If it bolsters the moth population it's gotta be worth it. That one Simpsons gag where the Chinese waiter is like "is there any way we can enhance your dining experience by hurting an animal?" really was kinda accurate, it's like they go out of their way sometimes. At least with that bear bile thing they keep it alive so they can keep harvesting it, albeit in a way that is also not nice.
