I always wonder this whenever I see ghetto penguins who are actually succeeding at keeping their pants up. Are there suspenders under there? Why are you succeeding where so many fail? What's the belt wrapping around, and how? But yeah the guy turned out kinda stubby after I drew him just to make a fashion joke, so hopefully his being a probably-gnome doesn't mess with that any.
Hobo jokes are a great time to bust out puns that don't really work as dialogue, right? His weird hobo soap-bar bench actually reminds me of these weird plastic cots we slept on in one daycare I went to. I guess those are easier to hose down and don't retain parasites, but damn if they weren't the most consarned uncomfortable things ever. And I hated taking naps as a wee bairn.
