Really, isn't bringing-something-up-ahead-of-time-for-the-audience just creating your own contrivances? Anyway nobody ever includes adlets. I do because they're so close to the beginning of my monster list that I'm always reminded of them. I suppose it's weird that there's a name for a race of creatures but half of their lineage is unknown. Whatever. I'm not Alaska, I didn't make it up.
