Look at this beautiful update scheduling here. I think I was conscious of how boring a big epic multi-character battle can be if it takes too damn long. Of course having a bunch of people get stomped down helps with that a lot.
I wanna say Alex did this fire-aura thing in the old comic. Don't remember what it does. I'm not really sure how Ratle's multiversal status works, but it's not like the 'singularities' in Transformers. It's more like he's just slightly unstuck from reality.
