That one boss oni is based on my boss from back when I had a real job. God damn I hate real jobs. This is Kaen's personal Hell not so much because he's an artist, or even a spoiled rich guy, nor is he all that super in love with adventuring... it's 100% the keeping him from his family thing, and that's how I felt every single fucking day of that 9 to 5 shit. Like, I never had a family, but that's why.
I don't know what to make of the Washi and Veo oni. You can speculate about that all you want. I mean these aren't dream sequences, this is some real-ass shit being performed by Hell actors using magic to create personalized scenarios. That cutie with the 80s anime face had to spray on real perfume to complete the torture.
