That first panel is like my favorite dada-humor piece ever. Yeah I guess that creature was a setelar! Man. I can't believe I didn't namedrop it right then, and that it took so long for them to sell the pelt.
I realized, as writers always do, that I couldn't very well let them keep something that useful all the time... Fuh. Someday one of us is going to break the code that lets us just write all the things we want to happen, and have a good story just result because we want it to. That is one darling urchin.
