At least Robin gets to hug one. Happy end. Man, lotta callbacks to previous comic areas, with almost no reason to do so. Naw, these codes HAVE to be a reference to something. I could look it up, but I'd rather you do it. It's probably just level-skip codes from various games.
Now we see what the real fun idea of this skipping shit was... it has meta appeal because I know we've all used cheats in games and found ourselves a lot more fucked than we expected to be. There's probably a life metaphor in there somewhere. Also Yuusha Yoshihiko did a fantastic gag once about losing one's old save, but I don't know if I had seen that when I wrote this. Probably.
Keep your eyes open, though, those were legit flash-forwards. So I've heard that apparently blowing on your cartridges was never helpful. I thought dust on the contacts was legitimately bad, but I guess they're saying no.
