I miss inserting random nihongo. It's just hard to stay in the mood, y'know? Kind of awkward when you aren't reading a bunch of fanfics, and even subtitles now tend not to include that. I guess after the whole keikaku thing it went out of style.
Wee bit of soapboxing in this one but it is rather baffling that people in the last century or so forgot that drunkenness is something to avoid when drinking, not the goal.
The inside joke there is that a friend of mine (the one Ivy Palm is based on) had a guy going door to door trying to sell some ham that fell off of a truck. It's funnier when she tells it.
