Cutie crab is a cutie. I always appreciated the random moments in lots of shows where nobody's around and an animal just comes by and then something happens to scare it off. It's atmosphere.
I don't know why the idea of abbreviating hippo to 'ppo amuses me so much. Everything else in that panel and the next is a joy as well.
I get so much shit for this, for some reason. I think it's funny and all kinds of other feelings that Riven's experiencing something her mom never warned her about because her species doesn't even do it. She's a brand new hybrid with a kind of blood nobody else has, and.. oops, now it's going to show up once a month.
