At some point one has to ask why no townsfolk ever solve their own problems, and the few times they do they only get into more trouble.
Try not to ask yourself HOW the walrusbeetle actually ate the grass of of its own body.
Now see, I'm really fond of this scientist lady. She didn't just graft on a reptile arm, she refused to get a new lab coat or repair the tears in her existing one (presumably from whatever took off her natural arm) because dammit it says SCIENCE on it, and that's not something you can repair!
