Demons being annoying is probably one of my favorite tropes. Both the Xanth series and Tenchi Muyo really drilled that into me.

It bugs me a lot more than it should when cartoon gorillas are fuckin brown instead of black and have like, dog noses and shit. That Circus Pizza reference outs where I lived as a kid, because that was a very local franchise, but it turns out the animatronic characters it used were not. They were from Showbiz Pizza, they just let all the different pizza arcades use their characters and programs. And they were damn scary. Maybe I wasn't as scared as 30s-60s characters seem to be whenever someone shows up in a gorilla outfit, but I was mildly scared.
