See the aura really isnt working here. Oh well. The idea of fairies that can't fly is really creepy. They're like roaches. And fairies are already kind of creeps. At least in most mythology. Remember in Labyrinth? Oh hey check it out, My Immortal reference.
I've enjoyed musing about the relationship between iron and blood and magnetic fields and running water and, like, y'know... all the different kinds of magic systems that seem to interact with those. Technically hemoglobin isn't exactly the same thing as rust, but it tastes the same. Have you ever had a kitten get a bit of icecream and go full brain-hungry zombie on you? I have. Little disturbing.
