Bosses that can change type are so cheap. I remember using this concept at least once more. It makes for some fun fights. It's probably for the best Kaen got stabbed before he suffered the humiliation of earnestly trying to use a centipede as a flail.
This is a kind of awkward thing in retrospect. I think I wanted it to turn out that Bow was Ribbon in disguise and thus the fusion was half her and she could disable it, but instead Starling was Ribbon in disguise, so the spell conked out. In the end though it seems she was temporarily really mad so she kind of made the spell work properly and... yeah whatever. Pretend it was clever, please.
