Look at that! The fact that the monster is guarding a string of beads gives me an excuse to make it an abstract-object-creature. It's like whenever transformers have an excuse to make the altmode something mechanical but not real, like a 'space' or 'alien' vehicle or robotic animal, it makes the conversion to a humanoid mech a lot easier to design.
And having drawn it like that, I see why it was so popular back in the day to have enemies based on repeating spheres. You can't screw it up! This was a bit of work though, Photoshop doesn't have a proper line-shape tool. Had to downsize each one as I went. Yeah I can never remember which game is Centipede and which is Snake either, is anyone else with me?
