That weird little squid is a real thing that exists. Dumbo squid it's called, I think? Whenever there's multiple 'routes' to a given hybrid creature, I have to wonder which way produced it. In this case, they talked about it! That's something you probably have to do with people when you're like that. I like her weird little black strap things.
Of all the sudden-urgency twists I've written, I think this one is one of the better ones. They're actually pretty lucky they had a scroll to here. Maybe they didn't take a scroll to the lake, I dunno.
Just like the latter bit of the old comic, I was worrying a lot less on keeping track of all the traveling. I feel like after a while, just like in a videogame after you get your 'airship,' you can kinda just leave it. But hey, Mako Mako Mts look a lot better, right?
