Under panel 2 I just acknowledge the obvious fact that I'm trying to clear out my it-would-be-funny-if-someone-said-this files, and they aren't custom curtailed to the specific culture of the place they're in. And while I'm being self-deprecating, the girl in panel 4 has a problem it took me a while to pick up on: hair that isn't turning with the head. There's more on the far side than the near side.
Apparently cake day is something cutesy internet communities call their birfday, but I didn't know that, and Hel is definitely just trying to say that this is the day to give her cakes. Actually the joke is weird given how I established the calendars work in this setting, but I only talked about that like twice ever.
I suppose this is probably just a sugar nymph or something. Lots of specific plant types have their own nymphs. Kaen needs to watch what he says, damn. That was totally unrelated to his bug-summoning flute skills.
