If there's one thing my writing seems to perpetually forget, it's that Asian bathing culture isn't a "oop, got dirty, better go have a bath" paradigm, but usually more a "got cold" thing. Because those people seem to have trouble with homeostasis. And some glandular stuff, but they seem to get along fine and prefer being that way, so awesome. But anyway, excuses for baths are great. And hell, I don't know what it was like in olden times. Fantasy gets a free pass.
I really like that 'mixed' gag too. Of course most of the cast IS a mix of things, so... I think I had something written for a while reminding myself to have someone suggest hot springs are something you can have installed. Because, right? Am I right? I am right. You agree with me.
I think I did a good job on that wide panel. Man, what even is 'wai wai'? I don't remember anymore. I like to think Riven made friends with that monkey in between comics. Wouldn't you? For some reason it seemed right up her alley to see a lot of hot spring socialization and look around for someone to participate with and that's all she finds.
Also, Leap Day! I think that due to the specific times the comic was and wasn't being made, I managed to hit every Leap Day for a super long period. Someone check on that.
